Miklós Sas

Festőművész / Painter

Biography

“In my painting I explore the organisation and relationships of visual elements. Behind the figurality or the landscape view, I am primarily interested in the variations and consistencies of the rhythms, parallels and contrasts. With my matching colours I mark relations between symmetrical relationships, between panels of geometric representational systems. I partition space in a concrete and tangible way through the definite covering positions of structural units. In my crowded paintings, cycles and complete exhibitions, I strive for a united and constructive harmony, a kind of equilibrium between part and whole, part and part. I dare to hope that the combination, discovery, understanding, or mere perception of the universally valid roles of the game will awaken in others a joyful fullness of being.”
